Living Voice Football Academy continued their flawless start to the 2025 Nigeria Nationwide League One (NLO) season, securing a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Big 100 FC in Matchday 3 at the Ijebu Ode Township Stadium on Wednesday. A solitary goal from Christian Kalu was enough to clinch the three points, keeping Living Voice unbeaten with a perfect nine points from three matches.
The tightly contested match saw Living Voice’s attacking prowess tested by Big 100 FC’s resolute defending. However, Kalu broke the deadlock with a clinical finish, delivering on his pre-match promise to make an impact. The goal proved decisive, as Living Voice’s disciplined backline held firm to secure their second clean sheet of the season.
With this win, Living Voice have now scored eight goals and conceded just one across their opening three games, showcasing their balance of attacking flair and defensive solidity. Their campaign began with a 1-0 win over Detra FC, followed by a 6-1 thrashing of Junosa FC, and this latest result further cements their status as early frontrunners in the NLO.
An emotional Kalu dedicated his match-winning goal to his teammates and manager, Prince Isaiah Igben, praising their collective effort. “This goal is for the entire team and our manager, who has believed in us from the start,” Kalu said post-match. “We’re building something special, and we’re ready for the next challenge.”
With nine points in the bag and momentum on their side, Living Voice FC now turn their focus to their upcoming match, aiming to maintain their unbeaten streak and continue their push for NLO glory.
