NFF ELECTION; GLASS HOUSE GETS NEW BOSS.

By-Olamide Awoyinfa Zamfara Born and former Chairman of Chairmen, Alahji Ibrahim Gusau was elected at the 78th annual general Assembly and Elective Congress held earlier today in Benin.
Ibrahim Gusau initially polled (21) votes to defeat the former 1st Vice President of NFF, Barr. Seyi Akinwunmi who polled 12 votes. Behind Barr. Seyi Akinwunmi was the 2nd Vice President, Sheu Dikko with (6) votes to finish third, while former Super Eagles goal keeper Peterside Idah and Abba Yola polled just 1 vote respectively. In the runoff election, Ibrahim Gusau defeated Peterside Idah who did not step down like Seyi Akinwunmi and Sheu Dikko did with 39 votes to 1 to become the newly elected NFF President, taking over from Amaju Pinnick after 8 years of holding the position. In the 1st Vice President Election, Felix Anyansi-Agwu with (23) votes emerged victorious defeating Senator Obinna Ogba who had (8) votes to become the new 1st Vice President, replacing Barr. Seyi Akinwunmi.
