Living Voice FC Fight Back to Earn 1-1 Draw Against Bendel Insurance Jnr in NLO Playoff

Living Voice Football Academy showcased their resilience in a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Bendel Insurance Jnr in their second match of the 2025 Nigeria Nationwide League One (NLO) playoff round-robin phase at the Ijebu Ode Township Stadium on Tuesday. The result leaves both teams with two points each, setting up a thrilling finale in the tightly contested playoff group.

The match saw Bendel Insurance Jnr take the lead in the first half through a confidently converted penalty kick, putting Living Voice on the back foot. However, the Academy, under the tactical guidance of Coaches Williams and Austine Agberu Chinaza, regrouped in the second half. Their persistent pressure paid off with a well-earned equalizer, ensuring the spoils were shared.

Coaches Williams and Agberu Chinaza’s unified strategy was pivotal, blending a compact defensive setup with dynamic attacking transitions. Their adjustments at halftime allowed Living Voice to dominate possession and create scoring opportunities, ultimately securing the crucial point. Consultant Prince Isaiah Igben, whose unwavering support has been a cornerstone of the team’s campaign, was on hand to inspire the squad, reinforcing their belief in the face of a tough opponent.

The draw follows Living Voice’s 2-2 stalemate against Adamimogo FC in their playoff opener, highlighting their ability to compete with the group’s top sides.

With all four teams in the playoff group—Living Voice, Bendel Insurance Jnr, Adamimogo FC, and Ekiti United—locked on two points each, the stage is set for a dramatic conclusion. Living Voice now face Ekiti United in their final playoff match, a must-win encounter to secure the top spot in the zone and advance their NLO ambitions. A victory is crucial, as every team remains in contention, making this a do-or-die clash.

As the playoff race reaches its climax, Living Voice FC are determined to seize the all-important win and claim zonal supremacy.
